Songs Without Words (Or The Mendelssohn Play) by Jennifer Vosters is a one woman show about the rivalry between classical music composer siblings, Felix and Fanny Mendelssohn.

Vosters gives an award winning performance as she effortlessly switches between both siblings cleverly using a conductor’s baton to differentiate between the two persons. Fanny has the baton as a pin in her hand and Felix confidently waves it around as a consummate showman.

Vosters magnificently uses facial expressions, affectations and a physical performance to extenuate every line, monologue that is magnetically charming and captivating

This production is must see as Vosters emits a star turning performance that is unforgettable, delightful and an exceptional piece of acting and theatre.

Songs Without Words (Or The Mendelssohn Play) is playing at The Cosmopolitians Seniors’ Centre from August 1-10th 2024 at the Saskatoon Fringe Festival. Tickets can be bought online here, the box office on site or at the venue itself.
